Is this religion forced upon people?

Dear sir:

I am an english person, and i believe that some of the islamists are very violent and can even spread and encourage violence, Now i am only 14 years of age but i know that most people have some goodness in them, and it is unfair to say all islams are this way inclined. However In my opinion, some people are disrespectful to people because they have a different belief, but everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, they just should not force them upon other people because if they do it kind of makes their religion look desperate for more people to 'join' a religion. I believe it takes a great amount of thought to decide on a religion and so religions must NOT be layed upon people by families!!!
