Journal-Jihadists

Reader comment on item: My Gloom: Back to September 10

Very disheartening, very true. In general, it appears to me that our journalism industry is fast becoming 'enemistic' to coin a word form. Journalists are L A Z Y minded. Note the ease of writing veiled opinion articles using already established engrained formats: "Administration, America = BAD, "Terrorists" = merely questionable and deserve the benefit of doubt." ...
These premises lead to some pretty simplistic writing requiring no in-depth research beyond finding some personalities involved, gathering their opinions, and all swept into and centered around some action observed being conducted to fight this war. Note the appalling and absurd absence of any consideration towards the larger more important context. These journal-jihadists live their lives and work only for the ‘be here now' moment while most clear thinking people wish to live on and project our freedoms well into the future.

I am now utterly convinced that today's jihadi-journalists are a MAJOR SOURCE of TROUBLE in society today, and are probably responsible for the spreading of more false and damaging information than any other segment or business in the entire history of Earth.
