The art of disinformation

Dr Pipes,
It isn't all that surprising that matters of importance are dissembled and dealt with only on the most superficial level. The media prepackages and simplifies issues according to its own particular prejudices and ideological predispositions in the west and Islamism. It demonstrates how ingrained such self deflating tendencies are in our places of higher learning. It also illustrates the effect such ideologies have in streamlining thought down certain channels and dominating debate. Independent thinking is not only discouraged but patently impolite - aye indeed heretical. One has to scour the print media for even an inkling of inspired thinking in relation to matters concerning Islamism or the problems it poses. And don't even bother switching on the TV.

Perhaps it's not so surprising since these ideologies have proved so powerful they've all but neutered our society making it almost impossible for it to perpetuate itself. Islam could then not really be blamed for expanding to fill a vacuum so carelessly produced by the vilest and most entrenched enemies the west has ever seen (the left wing blind minions of Thanatos). In effect we have been pushed into a downwards spiral of retreat and surrender. Our democracies stagnate, our lifestyles become more selfish, we become lazy about community and defending our own and overreliant on police forces that are themselves subject to the vicissitudes of political correctness. Brief sparks of awareness like the riots at Cronulla Beach in Sydney are universally condemned and invariably pacified by the same police - in their efforts to appease the PC monkeys they enforce the law assymetrically. Soon normality will be restored and the Lebanese Muslim gangs will be able to return to drug dealing, stabbing, hasseling old folk and gang raping western females unimpeded by the promise of any repercussions from the duly legally censured Australian nationalists. Their little slice of the Australian dream. The cry of "Lebs rule the street!" will ring out once again.

Our reaction to being threatened, to grievance be it legitimate or illegitimate is to run and hide. Recently in Australia a publically run State School principle had to apologise to two non-Christmas celebrating parents of English extraction for merely referring to Christmas in a letter circulated to the families of the children at the school. In this instance the grievance was a idiosyncratic one of two nonconventional aye even eccentric individuals (the parents). Consider then the impact of an organised de-Christianising lobby - the Islamists. In our struggle to make our society more "inclusive" we surrender more and more of our identity. We spiral downwards defining ourselves in smaller and smaller fashion until we find we have no identity at all. Our horizons which expanded so rapidly over the last few centuries are contracting. And absurdly it is a contraction which is not due to any natural phenomena but one that we seem to have talked ourselves into. Well lets start talking ourselves out of it.

Cordially,
Reuben Horne.
