Dear Mr. Vail: I agree that, if the Islamist radicals dare attack the USA directly in any fashion close to what happened on 9/11, that the "sleeping Lion" will once again rise to destroy the enemy. NOT. First we will have to overcome a Democrap filibuster. Then we will have to tie both hands behind our backs. Then we will need another investigation to find out whose fault it was. Then we will have to study the report and conclusions. Then we will have to satisfy the ACLU that we are not violating the terrorists rights or using torture. (Water boarding is terror not torture). Then we will have to argue whether our troops have enough MRE's to complete the mission. Then we will have to consult with France and Germany. Then, if everything goes OK, maybe we can get the UN to pass its one millionth resolution defining terrorism. Then they will debate sanctions. Of course, by that time, North Korea and Iran will already have nukes and perhaps have them on their way to America, First of all, this war is not a criminal war where we wait for the crime to be committed before we arrest and prosecute.

This is a war where we have to take the initiative and destroy the enemy with preemptive attacks wherever they live, whether it is in Manhattan or Iraq. The "LION" is becomming a lamb because of the liberal press and the Democraps. Where do you think we would be if Bill Clinton was still President? Eating, meeting, and retreating, that's where we would be. If this flap over the Patriot Act doesn't completely destroy the Democrap Party, it should. Where have all the warriors gone? Let's hope they are not all in Iraq and Afghanistan. ...
