Dhimmitude in Bethlehem ?

Reader comment on item: My Gloom: Back to September 10

I read an article on last friday in Wall street Journal. It is basically how a Christian Mayor is working with Hamas to run the city of Bethlehem.

What caught my attention is Hamas wants to pass al-Jiziya tax on non-muslims, primarily Christians in Bethlehem. They are clear on this, as they claimed that they are saying about this since 1980.

How come the media does not raise this very important religiously sanctioned discrimination by Islam ?

Mr Pipes, I appreciate if the whole world knows what is going to happen, if Islam is going to be the rule of the law.

Appreciate if any one can post the relevant portions from WSJ.

Regards
Harry
