After reading a piece like this, I wish you weren't so good at what you do. I wish you weren't so thorough, complete and clear. Many of these pieces have been swirling around my head -- but not all of them and not organized so neatly. But now here they all are -- efficiently catalogued in all their depressing glory. After reading this, my frustration has taken a quantum leap.

You do great work. It must be very frustrating to see all this so clearly while the country backslide and nods off. Hang in there and keep up the good work. At your misery/"gloom" has lots of company.
