A voice in the wilderness

Reader comment on item: Musharraf's Historic Speech

Submitted by Elpi Nipni (United States), Sep 20, 2005 at 19:41

Mr. musharaff is brave no doubt, he lives in danger of being assasinated, constantly. To come out and even dare to speak the way he did is commendable. It is but a voice in the wilderness, and only for western ears, and maybe to have the Jews exercise their influence in washington, for his sake. But, If my memory serves me right, Muhhamad himself, when he escape to Medinah, made a pact with the Jewish tribes in Medinah, because he was not strong enough to slaugther them. History teaches us what was the fate of those Jewish tribes as soon as Muhhamad got stronger. I know Mr. Musharaf is not an Arab but he is a Muslim, never the less. A believer in the Qur'an, Are we deaf and blind to what the Qur'an says about us, Infidels?
I, Also do not forget the assault of Islam on the West in countless fronts, and the statements and "promises" that are made by Muslims. Islam is counting on one serious and profound ailment of the West, namely: the division in western society. That kind of "positive" talk by Muslims serve only one purpose, to lower our guard and to further deepen our beliefe in the myth that Islam is a religion of peace. Peace with Islam means one thing :surrender to Islam. there is no posibilty to ce-exist with Islam, even if Bin Ladin was not leading the charge.
Thank you Elpi Nipni
