Hindus and Jews: Shared Experience, Mutual Respect.

Though there is a faint glimmer of truth in Musharraf's claims, they are really more appropriate to the relations between Hindus and Jews, than between Muslims and Jews. Most painfully, while Jews have been exterminated by various Europeans off and on for 2000 years, Hindus have been exterminated by Muslim invaders off and on for 2000 years. But apart from that, there have always been good relations between Jews and Hindus, despite the falsehoods shamelessly posted by some on this article.

Jews, on Hindu-Jewish relations:

'Perhaps the most unique aspect of the Indian Jewish experience is the complete absence of discrimination by a host majority. The secret of India's tolerance is the Hindu belief which confers legitimacy on a wide diversity of cultural and religious groups even as it forbids movement from one group to another.' - Raphael Meyer"

"The most heinous crimes which the followers of Mohammad called as jihadis or to use a more euphemistic term, Muslims, perpetrated was on peace loving Hindus in India. The entire civilization of Hindus called as Saraswati Civilization was decapitated and reduced to dust. The depth and the scope of holocaust which befell Hindus is so staggering that common human mind fails to understand this and goes blank."

and
"The Mohammedan conquest of India is probably the bloodiest story in history."

There's no evidence of any animosity between Hindus and Jews, nor any discrimination, only mutual respect.

Unfortunately, the painful fact is that the same cannot be said for Hindus and Muslim, or Jews and Muslims, and it is not for lack of effort on the part of either Hindus or Jews.
