Statements without proof does not make impact

Reader comment on item: Musharraf's Historic Speech
in response to reader comment: Do Hindus hate Jews?

Submitted by Dave (Australia), Sep 1, 2011 at 14:58

I think the "statements" made should have references too, so that someone can check it and see that it is not just a made up story. I have few very good friends in Ahmedabad and there are comparatively lot of Jews out there who are completely happy and satisfied with locals. Parsis make a significant population in Gujarat and speak Gujarati as their own language. Muslims in India are happier than Muslims in Pakistan. The "thumbs up Musharraf" was overthrown by his own army men. I am sure there was a reason for that. India has long since been a Hindu country with more than 80% hindus, but it still is the largest secular country in the world. Someone staying at a place for mere two days cannot have enough exposure to make statements about the whole culture.
