What have Islamists learned from Iran?

in response to reader comment: Islamists must have their chance

I'm puzzled by your statement. "And maybe, some islamists have already learned from Iran, that tyranny will lead the people away from them." To me it is much more likely that what they learned from the Islamic Republic is that they can turn their countries' into "viable" belligerent, tyrannical states founded on hatred and fanaticism. The "flourishing" of Iran means that if the Mullahs' and Ahmadinejad's behaviors and speech have led "the people away from them", then said worthies do not lose much sleep over it.
