Reader comment on item: Ban the Burqa - and the Niqab Too
in response to reader comment: The bizarre case of Carnita Matthews revisited

Submitted by Prashant (India), Sep 22, 2022 at 13:36

Dear Dr Pipes, to make full sense of this message, readers should read DNM's message above. In 2011, Ms Matthews, a Muslim, evaded punishment using her naqab to hide her identity. Her husband and the Islamic community around her, called the police racist.

In 2022, I wondered what happened to Ms Matthews in the intervening 11 or so years. I even wondered that she could be on Australian welfare.

We live in a small world where everyone knows everybody. There was no ISIS in 2014. Thousands of Yezidis were not yet killed by Muslims in Iraq. But, my fear turned out to be right. If we have to believe the below citation, sister Matthews husband Ibrahim Galieli grew up to a disabled pensioner in Australia and an ISIS recruiter!
