:-) is it so difficult to understand
In short, when last Guru of Sikhs (Guru Govind Singh ji), want to give confused and scared population of that time some identity and make them saints as well as fighter (Singh = Lion) instead cows as muslim rulers were forcefully converting everyone in Muslim. His dream was to make people good soldiers and good saint. Sword came for this desire of solider and hairs came from his dreams of Sikhs as saint.

Did I make more difficult to understand or that helped ?

Just read about Sikh history, I promise you, you will be looking at turban next time.
