I agree with the conclusion reached by Jahanshah Rashidian towards the end of her informative blog on the burqa issue. Her observation that women may lead men astray ( please read that as an invitation to rape!) if they do not exercise necessary caution , however, is something that all right thinking people should abhor from the bottom of their hearts. Women, as some evil ideologies would have us believe, are no objects of temptation whose sole purpose is to lead all devout men astray and doom them to hell. If anything, they are beautiful creatures made by the same Creator, whose main purpose behind creating women on earth seems to have been to provide man with a soul mate, who would stand by him through thick and thin, who would mother his progeny and perpetuate his generations while at the same time retaining her own identity and asserting her own rights. Both are equal partners in the drama of life and must remain loyal to , and support each other till death does them part.

Her observation, although right, puts the entire onus of "taking necessary cautions" on the woman herself, while men even when they allow themselves to be " led astray ", go entirely scot free after their abhorrent and beastly behaviour. This perverse phenomenon in much in evidence in countries like Norway and Denmark, where these poor, humble muslim men find themselves helpless to resist the temptaions provided by the beautiful local women and are misled into raping them. Please make the laws governing crimes against women as strict as possible and make it impossible for every rapist to escape the confines of a prison as long as his unhloy life does not come to an end!
