Harrassment for being a woman

Reader comment on item: Ban the Burqa - and the Niqab Too
in response to reader comment: The niqab (a total covering except for the eyes)

I can understand why woman wear it not to get harrassed in muslim countries as my sister who has just returned from Turkey has said she has never felt so harrassed from men as she walked along the street. Men all shouting and whistling, even all stopping in their cars constantly all through her holiday. She has been a few places in europe like Spain, France and Italy and vowed she will never return to Turkey due to the actions of the men.

Women shoudn't have to walk about covered up to protect themselves from hassle, the need to do this tells me more about the men and the fact they cant control their own behaviour in the prescence of a women. The burqa is a joke and derogatory statement to all women.
