Dr, Pipes

I want to bring to your attention this great article in Mada Masr about the history of the Islamic Museum in Cairo which sustained great destruction by members of the terrorist group the MB and compare it to the poor article in the NYT about the same subject

http://madamasr.com/content/past-and-future-bomb-damaged-manuscript-museum

And a rare look at the Egypt of the 1930's

I'm still looking into finding any more information about the George Anastase Michaelides' Quranic collection and its fate (as far as i know most of it is at the British Museum thank the Gods) so stay tuned for this one

For the readers the late George Michaelides was a Greek-Egyptian he was born in Cairo in 1900 and died in 1973 and during the course of his life he acquired a great collection of various literary texts in Arabic Greek Latin Syriac and Coptic and most significant part of his collection was many Quranic fragments that are priceless and some of these fragments are part of the Islamic Museum collection

The more evidence that the MB is a terrorist group
