Violence and intolerance

Reader comment on item: The Paterson 'Protocols'

Submitted by Matthew J. Fleming (United States), Nov 7, 2002 at 15:57

I believe that Oriana Fallaci's book "The Rage and the Pride" will have the same impact on Western perceptions of "peaceful" Islam that Harriet Beecher Stowe's book "Uncle Tom's Cabin" had on slavery.

I am a Zionist but I more importantly I believe that every ethnic group on the planet has the right of self-determination -- be it the Tibetans, the Kurds, the Gypsies, etc., etc. Unfortunately much of the World chooses to ignore the fact that there has long existed a country for the "Palestinians"...it's 78% of Palestine and called Jordan...

Both the newspaper "The Arab Voice" and the producers of the Egyptian television series based on the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" know that it is a forgery. The Koran however is not. The injunctions against non-Muslims in it are clear and unequivocal. Even in this Orwellian World in which we live where even President Bush utters the platitude "Islam is Peace," intelligent and truly peaceful and tolerant people are quickly coming to the obvious conclusion about militant Islam's violent and intolerant nature. The comment posted above about "The Protocols of the Imans of Mecca" is most appropriate.
