Arab anti-semitism

Reader comment on item: The Paterson 'Protocols'

Submitted by Joseph Grossman (Canada), Nov 5, 2002 at 17:01

Why is there no international outrage over the government-sponsored, institutionalized anti-semitism which exists throughout the Arab world? Newspapers all over the Arab world demonize Jews. Children are taught in schools that Jews - not specifically Israelis - are evil and that it is heroic to murder them. Jews are not allowed to set foot in Saudi Arabia. The few Jews who have not been driven out of Iraq, Syria, Egypt, etc. live in terror. Why does the world consider this acceptable? The standard response from the Arab world is to deny the anti-semitism, but then when confronted with undeniable evidence of it to simply justify it on the basis that it is a reflection of "frustration" over the "occupation". Why does the western world not loudly proclaim that this is specious nonsense? Why does the western world not say to the Arab world that until this stops, it will put no pressure whatsoever on Israel to do anything? Why does the west not say loudly and clearly to the Palestinain Arabs that until they stop indoctrinating their children to hate and kill Jews - not just Israelis - that they will not get any help whatsoever in getting a state of their own?

What does it take for people to realize that people or countries who refuse to accept the existence of Israel as a Jewish state, call for its destruction and scream that there is a Jewish conspiracy to control the world have no valuable contribution to make in any discussion about "peace". Why is that so difficult for people to understand?

Not a single Arab country (including Egypt or Jordan) plays a constructive role in the conflict over the disputed territories which Israel conquered in the course of defending itself in a war declared by five combined Arab countries. The Arab despots tell the U.S. and Europe that the issue is the Palestinians and that there would be peace in the region but for that problem. The despots then publish newspapers, chair symposiums, and appear on Arabic television and openly say that the issue is not a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza, but the presence of blood-drinking, world-dominating Jews. Then the despots put their money where their mouths are and pay millions of dollars to terrorist groups whose stated goal is to rid the middle east of these parasites.

This double game being played by Arab despots (including those in the Palestinian Authority) will continue so long as the western countries continue to turn a blind eye to it...

And this game is perpetuated by publication of such garbage even here in the U.S.A.
