Suspicious changes?

Reader comment on item: The Paterson 'Protocols'

Submitted by RJHyland (United States), Nov 6, 2002 at 00:40

Just a few comments:

1. I don't know about the newspaper's advertisers or their printer, but I've read some of James Zogby's work. He is frighteningly 'sympathetic' to the interests of our enemies.

2. About a year ago I wrote to Dr. Pipes about the alarming presence of the most violent jihad material available on, or via, nearly every Moslem web site prior to 9/11. Since then, virtually all of that has been removed: replaced by discussions of the 'peace' of Islam. (Note that some of the original hardcore jihad sites still operate, but, if you try to reach a working URL, you will get: "Forbidden, you are not permitted access…" (One had a message that those who didn't understand might "misinterpret" their material.)

Recently, I realized that the nature of the face lifting was quite similar for all of them. I would have expected more diversity, considering their numbers. That they needed such massive cosmetic overhaul is, I believe, reason for more than a little concern. That they all seem to have adopted the same approach at the same time may be just too much of a coincidence, and only makes me more wary of their motives.

3. It's interesting to observe that the greatest popularity of the 'Protocols' has been with Nazis, Fascists, Communists, etc.... people who really did want to take over the world. Now that some of the Moslems are so eager to embrace and disseminate this madness -- you will forgive me if I'm not a little suspicious of their agenda.
