Hitler fits that conservative test

Reader comment on item: The Paterson 'Protocols'
in response to reader comment: Primary tests of conservativism

Hitler passes the primary test for conservatism. The Nazis frowned on abortion for German women, as a pure Aryan woman was expected to present several children to Der Fuhrer and Fatherland. If you were Jewish or Slavic, then you could abort away. The Nazis RELAXED gun laws with the German Weapons Law of March 1938 - Nazi Germany was a male-dominated, gun-dominated culture.

As to Capitalism, while it was strictly regulated by the state, private capitalist owned the means of production in Nazi Germany, not workers, as one would find in a true Socialist state. Hitler had labor leaders arrested in May 1933 and hauled off to Dauchau. He then set up the Nazi Labor Front, which was a joke that favored management, not the average German. Workers made less per hour under the Nazis than under the Weimar Republic. Yep, they were right-wing. Had the support from quite a few Catholic and Lutheran clergy, too.
