Islam does not equal peace

Reader comment on item: Israel's Strategic Incompetence in Gaza
in response to reader comment: Islam means PEACE

Theoretically, if the world would 'Submit' to Islam there would be peace, but the entire world WILL NOT submit to the religion of Islam. So Islam will consider itself at odds with the secular and opposing religious world. The greatest amount of religious violence and intolerance in our modern world is coming out of Islam. I believe in tolerance for all religions that show tolerance and absolutely no tolerance for religions that are intolerant of other religions and philosophies. When a person travels to a country that is essentially Muslim, there is an unacceptable amount of discrimination against other religions that do not conform to Sharia law. The fundamentalist Muslim world will not rest in its fight, until the entire world comes under Sharia law. This is unacceptable.

Azkad, you are just as deluded as the Christian who thinks that their religion should be dominant. Religion creates separation and conflict against those who think differently and the religion of Islam is one of the best examples of this problem. An atheist or a person who changes religion should be treated with the same respect that a muslim person expects for their religion and religious figures, and this is not the case with Islam.
