I have never kept any secret of my love and admiration for Israel. That long predated my conversion to Christ. I remember reading "Exodus" and "Mila 13" (by Leon Uris) as a young teenager and being astonished at the Jewish will to resist against their foes both during and after World War II. The memory of their incredible fight was branded on my soul at least 45 years ago and has never waned.

All that doesn't take me to the mistaken tactic of not seeing the mistake that will cost them the most.

I am not just some sappy willy nilly Christian. I am a converted atheist that has thoroughly read God's word to mankind. The "End Times' that you claim we are all so "fond" of are heavily documented in that Word. There wasa purpose for that. Those who gave themselves to God's game plan, know all the signs that the Lord said were going to introduce those "times".

For the record, Christian or not, I DO NOT look forward to any end time. It wll be horrific for everyone. The believers aren't going to be standing around with big grins on their faces.

When you see the leaves turning color and falling from the trees, you don'y deny the coming of winter. You prepare for it.

If you wish a willy nilly 10,000 years for Israel, fine. However "wishes" don't grow reality.

The signs are all there whether you read them from the Bible or not. We sit on an oversized powder keg that can do longer contain the kind of conflagrations that man is irrelevantly prone to. Our planet is seething with rage and hatred. Desperate people of all kinds are clearly in the majority. I smell gas and kerosene fumes. I smell gunpowder blowing in from evey direction. I see rampant delusion and ignorance multiplying at a pretty good rate.

In spite of my great respect for Israel and all those few who still stand up in the lethal face of evil, I won't buy into delusional wishing. Even Israel has a growing "peace" movement that wants its country to withdraw from all war and sit down at the negotiating table. They have numerous politicians in high places that are fully given to that avenue of handlng their enemies.
