in response to reader comment: Why Can't Israel decide once and for all

And your ideas won't work in the future either, as long as there is a Hamas. For one think, Hamas's very mission statement and charter calls for the destruction of Israel, the murder of Jews, and the establishment of a caliphate. Allow "investment" and money and infrastructure to flow in Gaza and the West Bank? Mansoor, since 1967 these people have received an abundance of money and good will from the world, including Israel, who have PLEADED with them to use it for their own good.

Western nations have given a lot more than Islamic and oil rich nations have. Forty-one years, Mansoor. Look at it. With not a fraction of that kind of money, and hardly any infrastructure at all, Israel built a great democracy, businesses, wonderful infrastructure, greenary, and has contributed greatly to the world of science, medicine, technology, etc, etc. So what's with the Palestinians? Oh yea...the Jews! The Jews have held us back! The Jews oppress us! Blah, blah. No, they have used their money to indoctinate their children to hate through their educational system and their media programs. They have imported and smuggled weapons and used terror to kill innocent people and try to destroy what a great people built from nothing.

Corrupt people like Yasser Arifat had pocketed..what? Tens of millions? They have used all their energy and resources to kill and destroy and intimidate (even their own) rather than to help their own to thrive. Israel should try being nice to Paletsinaians? They have, Mansoor, and look what it gets them. They go out in the streets celebrating when a handful of religious students are slaughtered by a Hamas terrorist. They vote in a terrorist organization. They teach their children how to kill Jews and hate at most, but hate them with a passion at least. No...game over for Hamas. Wipe them out. Yes, as painful as it is for everyone that Palestinian civilians will die (that's Hamas's fault), the job has to finally be done. THEN Israel can get to the business they ALWAYS wanted from the beginning: Peace.
