Sorry Dr Pipes and Mr Cordessman...

Reader comment on item: Israel's Strategic Incompetence in Gaza
in response to reader comment: I agree with most of your article, Dr. Pipes, however ...

1) this ...viewpoint of a fast clean war is not realistic given the fact of the surge of islam today and in 1967 - those days are long over so fasten your seat belts

2) this is the beginning of a long and bloody war with great civilian deaths and disfigurements

3) i do not hink that many talking heads or writing heads really understand point number 2. This is not a Jean Le Carre novel with a neat ending

4) palestinians are suffering and I have very little compassion. better them than us

5) hamas leaders were taunting Israel for years that gaza will be their cemetery

6) who wants to finance the re-building of hamas besides hugo chavez and UNRWA?

7) world wide demonstrations of islamists show that they are the new nazis

I can go on but I find cordesmann`s analysis very pedantic and not real.

does anyone expect that this will be resolved through negotiations?

ISRAEL SHOULD CONTINUE TO TURN GAZA INTO 1945 STALINGRAD as the world watches
