Israeli leaders may see it differently, but I believe that if Hamas survives Cast Lead, it wins, since its sole reason for existing is to destroy Israel. Hamas' organizational objectives obviously don't focus on implementing principles of good governance in Gaza!

Rather, it has reduced the entire population of Gaza to an instrumentality to be used in pursuit of its eliminationist agenda for Israel! Monstrous!

Consequently if it is permitted to survive, it will attack again, since it can do no other.

Hamas cannot be neutered. It can only be destroyed or be permitted to survive.
