"......I wonder indeed which insanity would any world leader tolerate contiuing acts of war and violence and killing of innocent civilians, especially in their own lands, would... UK, USA, Australia, even Russia?"

Especially NOT Russia. The West should adopt Russia's policies against Islamic insurgency . When addressing the Chechen issue , Putin vowed ""If they're in the airport, we'll kill them there … and excuse me, but if we find them in the toilet, we'll exterminate them in their outhouses.""

It is amazing how few (read zero) Muslims in Russia protested in Moscow against Russia's defense of its territory against Chechen insurgency.

Tess continues:
"......If I were a parent of a child in Gaza I would be getting the way in my mind to safely get out of there and fleeing with all I could including my husband and child to another country where some assemblance of sanity prevails instead of the murderous genocidal regime of Hamas-tan."

So speaking hypothetically, you'd flee to somewhere like Australia, right - and end up living around somewhere like Lakemba, enjoying the privileges and wealth of your new country , after a few years becoming more concerned about getting a second car and paying off your mortgage and an extension on your home.

But then, because the imam said so and because you don't want to be seen letting the Islamic side down - you end up going to protests not against Hamas (you forget how bad they are) - but against Israel. In fact you (or anyone else from Palestine) are NEVER seen protesting against Hamas sending 10,000 missiles into Israel - even though you now have the means and perfect freedom to do so - because you'd probably get a death threat from one of the more devoted of your co-religionists.

The Israelis do not defend themselves without cause. They do not attack Hamas for no reason. They attacked Hamas (and Gaza) to cripple Hamas. The same way that Putin sent Russian troops to cripple the Chechen insurgents. Knock of their leaders and blow up their munitions dumps.

Russian troops in the 90's killed between 30,000 and 100,000 Muslim separatists in the Chechen region. But how much protesting was done back then by other Muslims ? Very little. The reason being they knew they were not going to get anywhere with Moscow - the Russians don't pussyfoot around. However when Israel does anything in its own defnse it's a different story in the West. Western Muslims use the rights that their adopted societies give them to the fullest advantage in the relentless campaign against the Jewish state (and their supporters).
