Why Can't Israel decide once and for all

Reader comment on item: Israel's Strategic Incompetence in Gaza

Israel should now think positively that today fighting and killing each other would not end no matter this conflict continues for another century. Israel can do that by building trust and confidence inside Palestine and with its neighbors. We need to understand that Israel occupied or captured those territories after War. If Israel doesn't want to to lose those territories then it must provide support to those areas by allowing International Investment, creation of strong and Infrastructure and making that areas strong commercially and Industrially.

Israel never thought that way. Israel should try this tactic as the conflict and war tactics have paid nothing but increased sense of insecurity within Israel. Hamas's rocket attacks can be condemned by Muslim world if they see Israel showing positive approach and moving forward to defuse tensions in the occupied territories. After all Israel and Palestinians should learn to live together now. Someone should come forward and try to build a new road of guaranteed progress of these areas.

I know that Arab world would have no objection if Israel and Palestinians could come up with a mutually accepted agenda for the development and prosperity of this region. Hamas, Hezbollah and all anti Israeli groups would loose their importance once Israel will try to present itself as a friendly partner of the Arab nations. Nobody wants war, bloodshed and massacre. Neither on Arab side nor inside Israel where people want to live happily without any conflict and tensions.

I think, Mr. Daniel Pipes should also try to defuse tensions between Israel and the Arab neighbors. Otherwise the tensions would grow to the point of no return. Arab anti Israeli groups are gaining strength and getting stronger. They are huge in number and not heavily but armed with some sort of weaponry which can still hurt Israel time and again. Previously Hezbollah and now Hamas is causing problems. Israel can resolve the matter with Hamas too and some brokerage can be done by Islamic nations like Jordan or Egypt to help arrive at a deal. It doesn't give any impression that Israel is loosing to Hamas, but it must be seen globally as a guarantee to provide peace to the people of this region. Let's think positively now!!!
