Plato response

Reader comment on item: Israel's Strategic Incompetence in Gaza
in response to reader comment: Azkad: A peaceful religion will not threaten to torture those who do not believe

Dear Plato,

>>If Islam is a religion of PEACE why does the Koran say and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN that those who die without believing in it will be punished with the most horrible tortures for being disbelievers.<<

The non-believers will be punished owing to several facts: a) if a person does not believe in God, then he/she does not fear anyone and is more likely to commit suicide, drink alchohol or cheat someone. The superiority of Islam or believing in that it teaches people that they are under control and constantly being watched, so they should be careful with they acts and deeds. The Koran warns people not to commit themselves to violent actions; there is great wisdom behind the warnings in Koran. For all that Allah bestowed us, such as water, air, smooth earth to live, the sun , the moon, stars, vegetables and fruit, animals and many others creaters, we should thank Him, but how? So the Koran teaches -- by worshiping the Creator, we cannot imagine life without water or air, have ever thought where they came from, who created them; Allah does not need our worship or good deeds, He just wants to see how pious we are, how thankful we are, how patient we are for what has been granted by Him. This is the world of ordeal, this is the world of testing, so the real pleasure is in the afterworld; however it does not mean that should lead a miserable life, NO, instead you should try to contribute to the prosperity of Islam, people of the WORLD, not only MUSLIMS.
