Iran is enriching uranium

in response to reader comment: I do not see Iran as a small country when it is on eve of nuclear power ...

Iran is enriching uranium, and while I don't know much about building a nuclear warhead, I know that you don't enrich uranium so you can keep the lights on.

As I quoted in my last post, Obama stated Iran was a "tiny" threat compared to Russia. After looking up the exact quote, it's even more ridiculous - he lumps Iran with Cuba, Venezuela as "tiny" threats compared to what the U.S. dealt with when "talking" with the Soviet Union during the Cold War - looks like Obama forgets how that war was solved (it wasn't through "talking"), and Obama was trying to justify talking with terrorist countries CAUSE THEY'RE SMALL.

God help us.

2/3rd's of Russia's "arms for sale" are purchased by India and China, by the way.

Regarding M. Tovey and my reply to him, perhaps I was a bit harsh, but I would ask the same question I asked of him to all evangelicals who seem hyper-excited at what they anticipate as "the end times" and the "imminent return of Christ" -

Should Israel defeat her enemies to the point of harmony, peace and security within her borders lasting for, let's say, the next fifty years (after which most of us here will be dead), will all those supposedly "pro-Israel" evangelicals who spout nonsense regarding "end times" be disappointed?

Each and every time someone takes Israel's current situation and thinks Christ will swoop in and save her, and gee, goody we will all be here to watch, not only do they reveal ignorance of scripture, but more importantly, they negate Israel's ADAMANT, IMPARATIVE need to defend herself, HERE, and NOW.

That's what frustrates me.

You are quite right, Israel (nor the rest of the world, for that matter) will never know lasting peace until Christ's Second Advent - but that could happen 10 years from now, or 10,000.

What is needed now is unconditional support of the only democratic state, the only true ally the U.S. has in the Middle East - ISRAEL.

SUPPORT - not anticipation of her almost complete distruction, which preceeds Christ's return.

Sorry, but it is absolutely nauseating to me - the hypocrisy involved.
