Hello DNM,

In one of my posts to Amina there was something I cut and paste from an article by Ali Sina of Faithfreedom. Here it is:

30:21 says "He created for you, of yourselves, spouses, that you may repose in them" The Arabic text makes it clear that "for you" is masculine and "them" is in feminine. What this verse is conveying is that women are CREATED FOR men and are for their enjoyment.

He is a very knowledgeable about Arabic. However, I would like your opinion on what he says about the genders referredd to in 30:21 because quite often I come across Muslims who claim that Allah is referring to both at the same time.
