In the final analysis, when reasonable temporal human explanations are no longer enough, or are not received to help distinguish why there is a falling away from the Truth of Holy Bible, and people will resort to a more humanist fashion to express their search for a religious piety that will not get them favorable audience with Almighty God, we will see, and are seeing many, especially here in America where the Truth is no longer considered fashionable, that the misled throngs will seek other redress for their sins. The only true resort then is to seek the Truth, in this case from the Hebrew Holy Bible (Brit Hadassah), Paul's second letter to the Thessalonians, chapter 2:

2) That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4) Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

5) Remember do you not, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

6) And now you know what withholds that he might be revealed in his time.

7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only He who now restrains [will] restrain, until He be taken out of the way.

8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the spirit of his mouth, and will destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9) [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power, and signs, and lying wonders,

10) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11) And for this cause God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12) That they all may be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

So it is no surprise that people who have rejected the Truth of Jesus Christ will go to whatever else that may seem appropriate to them, even to the burgeoning counter religion to true Christianity, and find themselves conforming to the unrighteous fashion of the times.

Therein one must seek the Truth of the Hebrew Holy Bible to obtain forgiveness of sins through faith and trust in Jesus Christ, exhanging the dirty rags of our unrighteousness for the pure clothing of His righteousness; along with eternal life in His presence, the final true goal of having faith in Him in His love.
