harmony?Reader comment on item: Niqabs and Burqas - The Veiled Threat Continues Submitted by the Grand Infidel of Kafiristan (Australia), Sep 24, 2009 at 00:31 Mr. Ameer_r2 writes from the United States of America: "The understanding of Islam that one may get by interpreting or applying verses out of context........... " But we also get an understanding of Islam by interpreting verses IN context. And by seeing the results of actions of Muslims who have interpreted them IN context. ".....or by applying a standard that so called civilized nations today apply that allow them to commit aggression and murdrer in the name of self defense and what G_d has given them that allow them to deprive others of their legitimate rights and seek to have hegemony over other nations and peoples in the name of democracy and imposing their concept of freedom that deprives others of their right to govern themselves according to their ethical standards does not contribute to peace" Now, let's transpose a few words here and see what we come up with: "Most of the writings here are designed to divide and not to achieve harmony. " The Muslims living as minorities in western countries and abiding by our laws are not the main issue - so have no fear. Especially those who have soaked up Western values and have no real appreciation of the bloodthirsty nature of hadrliners in other lands. What have been a problem - and will absolutely continue to be a problem - are those rather more dedicated Muslims whom YOU have NO control over. Those who who would disregard you as being a sell-out , one not committed to and having very little understanding of the true religion. The guys in Pakistan, Afghanistan , Teheran, Beirut, London, no doubt Paris, Rotterdam , Hamburg, Malmo and lately a few have come to light again in New York. You know - the guys who REALLY know what Allah wants - and how much Allah despises Infidels. The real true believers like Iran's Ahmedinejab who want Israel wiped off the map. And even our own Bilal on this board who sees 'kufaar' as a cancer which needs to be eradicated. "Why has no one quoted the verse which says that we love them(non Muslims( but they love us not.))" But they have - Plato for example continually quotes those verses on this board. But then presents the fact that Allah continually changes his mind - and more verses from the Koran and Hadith shows just how much he despises the 'pigs and monkeys'. Lucky for you your father converted eh? Who'd want to be called the son of a monkey? And yet no Muslim is able to explain why such schizophrenic viewpoints are there in black and white. "When we add up all the killing done in the name of Christianity, Jewish nationalism\'anti communism and democracy it still cannot compare with the jihad that has been done in the past and today. " Exactly so. At least you are honest. "...Most of the writings here are designed to divide and not to achieve harmony" "Let us try to understand one another " Some things , when understood evoke a well-deserved reaction. ""and not to demonize to support a political agenda whether Arab or Israeli or an anti-Islamic one or an anti=Jewish one," You left out 'an Islamic one' - you know the one held in common with 1.2billion Muslims - that Islam , the supreme religion should dominate the world. How could you forget that - even I know that? "Too many people are being killed or continue to suffer without seeking peace with justice." http://www.frontpagemag.com/readArticle.aspx?ARTID=36389 http://www.islam-watch.org/iw-new/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=183:punishment-for-apostasy-in-the-muslim-world&catid=49:bostom&Itemid=58 Tell me about it.
