Niqabs and Burqas Do Not Belong In The 21st Century

Reader comment on item: Niqabs and Burqas - The Veiled Threat Continues

Submitted by AnneM (United States), Sep 11, 2009 at 18:45

At a time when concerns for security is at an all time high, it is very questionable why niqabs and burqas are still worn. A Muslim woman can still be modest by wearing modest western clothes. Also both the niqabs and burqas do not belong to the 21st century, period. They are a form of oppression made a reality.
