Well Dear Lady,

If you have read many of my posts here it should be pretty clear who my folk are. We are those who the Rabbis refered to as the 'Righteous Among The Gentiles" because we endeavoured to follow the precepts of the Torah according to the teachings of such men as Hillel and Gamaliel. In times of old you would have found us in many outland synagogues in such places as the lands of the Greeks and Romans. The so called "New Testament" refers to us as "Gallations" and the Greeks called us "Keltoi" and "Mathematiki" because of our love for sound reasoning from valid hypotheses. The Rabbis of old won our trust by their examples in living and so we thought of them as men to emulate in our living. The idea of "Conversion" was and is foreign to us. It was never an issue then as it is today and many of our young men took Jewish wives and our young women Jewish husbands so in a greater way we are related as cousins so to speak. As my folk see it, we are the fruit of the same branch on the tree of life. The only difference between us is that we come from different ancestral lines and have traveled along different paths to this point in history.

It may seem strange but many of the same curses that have been leveled against the Jews have also been leveled at my folk. There have even been times when others thought we were the same peoples and so reserved for us the same kinds of treatments. The Irish Potatoe Famine is a case in point. My folk see that as a precursor to the Holocaust, prehaps a dress rehersal you might say.. For us, the English are no better than the Nazis in that respect and indeed, Hitler was a great admirer of the English for that reason. There were many of the English Royalty who were Nazi sympathizers. I think that explains much of our present dilemma in Israel. The English were the ones who put Mohammed Amin alHusseini in power. We can see today where that led and the results it produced.
