UN resolutionReader comment on item: Hold Damascus Responsible Submitted by Abraham (United Kingdom), Aug 10, 2006 at 05:13 The debate in the UN and their effort to arrive at a suitable resolution for the cessation of hostilities seems to have gone on, for far too long. Even if they do arrive at a UN resolution; there is no guarantee that it will be obeyed and achieve its intended goal, no matter how good and accurate will be its wording. The answer could be much simpler: If the UN could use their recent new addition of the 'Arab League' to apply its influence upon Lebanon and Hezbollah to stop sending their missiles into Israel, and return the two kidnapped soldiers; I am sure, that will result in a complete cessation of hostilities and a beginning of fruitful negotiations for the benefit of all concerned.
