Hold Iran accountableReader comment on item: Hold Damascus Responsible Submitted by James Garner (United States), Aug 5, 2006 at 16:44 Damascus accountable? Yes, but also Iran. After all, it is Iran that is attacking Israel through its proxy, the so-called party of God. Therefore, Iran`s oil infrastructure is a legitimate target for Israel, one that would even minimize civilian casualties. Without oil money Iran`s government would eventually fall. This would address the bigger problem than the immediate threat from Hezbollah in Lebanon, which is nuclear weapons coming from Iran. This move would finesse the UN's unwillingness to impose sanctions. It would show that Israel too, not just OPEC, had an oil weapon.
