Reader comment on item: Hold Damascus Responsible [for Hezbollah Violence in Southern Lebanon]
in response to reader comment: Speaking About the Unspeakable

Since 1973, not one single government in the western world has done a thing about cutting back their use of oil and oil products. the culture of hatred that has been fostered in the arab world against the west is financed by oil money from many sources. perhaps, the arab world knows that an end is coming to this as the oil fields could start to decline in output. this could be the reason for their violent moves against the west in the last decade or so. why western governments ( and all the political parties involved) have not resolved to use technology to bring down the use of oil is quite the mystery .

I can only speculate as to the multi-national oil companies, whose majority ownership are the producing countries (such as they are), can do with the vast amounts of currency they have at their disposal. currency can influence many, many things. it is very sad that a culture of hate was allowed to infiltrate into world power. now we face a grave situation as iran is being allowed to make nuclear weapons. in 1935 a very small german force re-occupied the rhineland in violation of treaties. a larger more powerful french unit ( and government) could have crushed them, but allowed it to happen. they could have forced them back and perhaps brought down the government of a certain german chancellor ( I will not mention his name). we know what happened.

The iranian/arab culture of hate (hiding behind religion)must be stopped before its too late. They already made it clear that they do not value human life as they hide behind women, and children.
