I agree 98%, Kerry. As for Blair there's no 'might' about it. He's currently serving his third, and final, term as Prime Minister having committed to retiring from the job a long time ago. So it's a matter of 'when' he goes rather than 'if' - possibly in a year; two at the very latest. However, irrespective of future political elections I would be very much surprised if the UK's position changed radically on these issues as both main political parties in this country fundamentally agree on these issues. The only downside is that when Blair goes we'll be losing a very smooth operator in the 'War on Terror'. That aside, I'm very confident that we're along for the ride as a long-term commitment.

What is the 2% that I disagree with you on? The use of the word 'much' instead of 'all' in your last sentence!!

Getting rid of Kofi-Annan NOW would be a very positive step in the right direction. Replacing him with a large piece of wood, or a domestic animal, would aid humanitarian causes throughout the world overnight . Why is this guy in office? Why has the media gone silent about the questionable business dealings of his son Kojo Annan (Google the name for more). How, in God's name, can such a blithering imbecile be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize? Was this a reward for his personal part in the massacres in Rwanda? My only gladness is that he retires at the end of the year having presumably looted as much as he can carry. Let us hope that we don't see an even more useless waste of space succeed him and that the UN has grown tired of the idea of appointing feeble third world bureaucrats in such an important post.
