Daughter understands

Been there, said all this. But...what about the daughter's other friend: Lindsey? Lindsey attends all her classes. She, also, rarely parties and stays up late studying. But despite all the studying and hard work, Lindsey just isn't getting a 4.0 GPA. Maybe she wasn't as well prepared for college. Mayve her IQ just isn't as high. But she tries really hard. Fortunately, Lindsey also contributes to the college by playing on the basketball team. She trains hard and is fairly successful on the court. Of course, all that basketball training could be taking time away from her studies, which could be why her GPA isn't as high. Additionally, Lindsey (who isn't on an athletic scholarship) works a campus job that helps her pay for her books and housing. This also takes away from her studies. But when Lindsey shows up for study group, she, unlike Audrey, has all her portion of the work done.

Now, would you be more willing to give a point of your GPA to someone like that?
