Introduce an accountability-system

Reader comment on item: Conservative Professors, an Endangered Species

Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), Apr 12, 2005 at 18:50

Pluralism is the most important principle of a Liberal-Democracy. Unless the conservative view-point is adequately represented on the campus, the United States are heading towards a Soviet-style system and this is not an exaggeration at all.

Conservative Professors should be given a chance. Students need to learn about law & order, the free-market and traditional values as much as they need to know about racial tolerance.

It is important that we live in an open society, based on political and religious tolerance.

It is also important that we hire conservative Professors who tell students about the values of freedom and Liberal-Democracy which characterise the Western world.
