Easier Said than DoneReader comment on item: Conservative Professors, an Endangered Species Submitted by J.W. Montgomery (United States), Apr 13, 2005 at 07:36 That universities are hotbeds of entrenched liberalism is hardly a secret, but the solution - for conservatives to take back these institutions - is much easier said than done. Where are all of the conservative endowments willing to sponsor graduate students in areas like English literature and Philosophy? They were nowhere to be found when I was accepted into a PhD program but had to eventually withdraw for lack of financial support.Without endowments, conservative students fall on the mercy of the departments into which they've been accepted. We can see the results today in our universities. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
