Hi, moh (Australia).

Are you simply Mohammed Waza? Ah, I see... "moh" for "Mohammed...." How silly of me, not to have noticed. I see that other than dhimmi no more, the Gnostic, we're the only ones here. I hope we're not the only ones reading this stuff. It's good reading, though I says as I shouldn't. Maybe "Musing on History" is something few people want to do. If so, it's a shame.

I see that Australia now has a new Premier. For a country on "the edge of the earth", this ought to be a matter of little significance. However, The Aussies are arguably the closest allies of the world's greatest superpower, and are clearly at the leading edge of history. They have demonstrated a clearer understanding of the European "migrant" crisis than the Europeans themselves, answering it by striking at the root of the problem (ISIL) before any of the others. They have also, under their former PM, Mr. Abbot, been one of Israel's few supporters in the Palestinain Flag issue at the UN. I wonder if the new PM will continue along this tack.

On that last point, I notice that the US has two sets of allies, which can be defined by the September votes in the UN General Assembly:

The US, Canada, Israel, Australia, Micronesia, Marshall Islands, Palau, Tuvalu. These are the countries which stood with us on the Palestinian Flag issue. Japan voted against us.

The US, Canada, Israel, the UK, Germany and Japan. These stood with us on the Sovereign Debt issue. The Marshall Islands, Palau and Tuvalu voted against us on this.

In matters of integration, such as visa restrictions and free trade, both sets of allies are deeply connected with each other, as well as with Korea, Taiwan, EFTA and the EU. All of these also voted as one with one another and with most of Latin America, in rejecting restrictions the Russians wanted to impose on homosexuals and their ilk.

The vote in favor of homosexuals defines "The West" in its widest sense, including all of Central and Western Europe, along with their former colonies in America, S. Africa and Australia and their adopted brethren in East Asia. In this, the "New Rome" seems to be synonymous with the "New Sodom and Gomorrah". That makes me think of the scripture,

Revelation 11:
[7] And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.
[8] And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

We in the West, therefore, are spiritually called "Sodom and Egypt, where also our [l]ord was crucified". This is not a comforting thought.

Note that I do not capitalize "lord", as the KJV translators did: I do not believe that God was crucified, just a man; and the original Greek says nothing otherwise. But don't let this distract you from what I have said. As for the "two witnesses" mentioned in Rev. 11, I believe them to be the two peoples who have within them the testimony of God's word, namely, the Bible-believing Christians and Jews. They will be opposed, as the passage says, by the "beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit", namely, the governments of the West, acting in concert.

Now's the time to choose, which side we will be on.

By the way, I personally stand with Australia et al against the flying of the "Palestinian" flag at the UN. Concerning sovereign debt relief, however, I stand against Israel and my own country; because debt relief is in the spirit of Torah. It's with votes such as these, that we get an insight who really controls the governments of the US, Japan, Germany, the UK and Israel: It is the super-rich international moneylenders, the majority of them being a handful of Americans such as Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Larry Ellison, Chas. & David Koch, the Walton family, Michael Bloomberg, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg. It is not, as the "Occupy" movement calls them the "99%" of ordinary citizens; but the Bible tells us that even that 99% will largely follow the rich beast:

[9] And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
[10] And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

Shalom shalom :-)
