in response to reader comment: cosmic string bags

Hi, Waz.

While waiting for our previous posts to go through the review process, let me hop in again, replying to "cosmic string bags". Let's start with,

"I think it's telling, that President Obama is unable to deal with the situation in the Middle East, "... Pity that, because in he's partially responsible for it by omitting to act a few years ago and letting it devolve into its present state - in Iraq/Syria at least. Putin is as blameworthy though - and in some ways shares a greater responsibility

Whenever I see blame-assignment taking place, I read it as futility. Who cares, whether Obama or Putin are to bleme in the Middle East? Actually, they're both just bit actors. Thousands of Muslims are getting inspired to blow themselves up, dynamite ancient monuments and other zany things. Who inspired them to do this? Obama? Putin? Israel? The Jews? The Bogeyman? The Devil?

There's nothing out here that's causing the Islamic World to go lulu. It's in their heads, something they're trying to work out

Meanwhile, I was inspired by pornography. Yeah -- the thought occurred to me, that Internet porn, which the Muslims have access to just like the rest of us, is the 21st Century version of ancient Pagan religion. Think about it. They didn't have computers with graphic user interfaces. They had some really good sculptors, though, along with male and female temple prostitutes. The Greeks worshipped idealized humans like Aphrodite and Apollo. We worship guys with 10" tools and gals with 36XX jugs.

The West has abandoned its Hebraeo-Christian roots, largely because they're not sexy enough. What's more, H-Cs are against free sex and abortion. I used to wonder, what they've found to fill the void. What a dummy I was! It's Porn -- modern-day Paganism! Today's practitioners don't have to go to high places and have fancy rites around Asherah poles, etc. They can have it all, in the privacy of their own homes!.

You may wonder why I brought this up. Think about it -- what do we know about ancient civilizations? We have the ancient (WARNING: ANCIENT ART OBJECTS, SCANTILY CLOTHED -- NOT PORN, BUT NOT ORTHODOX RABBI APPROVED) Sumerians, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans and now us. This is the real popular religion of the West, not dry, pathetic Atheism. This is what sells cars and beer, what brings TV ratings up, what sells movies and magazines.

And this is what young Muslim men have to sublimate -- and this makes them angry at the West. The only way they can look at Kim Kardashian and not feel guilty, is to blow themselves up and get 72 copies of her in heaven.

Doesn't that make a whole lot more sense, than blaming it all on Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin? They're window-dressing. "Zionist Imperialists" are windowdressing. "Great and Little Satan" are windowdressing -- and just so the West doesn't feel left out, "reproductive rights" and "Choice" are windowdressing.

This makes explaining wars to my grandchildren a little bit easier:

"Grandpa, why is that man cutting off the other man's head?"

"You'll understand when you're older, grandchild."

"Grandpa, why did the airplane bomb the city?"

"You'll understand when you're older, grandchild."

"Grandpa, do you mean it's ALL about sex?"
