Hello again, Waz. You mentioned the airstrikes against Syraq:

Since the air campaign against Isis started 6 months ago there have been approximately 1 bombs dropped a day. Yet in the war on (Orthodox) Serbia in the 90's - Clinton managed an average of 220 bomb strikes per day. This level of inaction seems criminal and must be frustrating many people. Just what will it take to get serious I wonder.

In Syraq, every party (the Shi'ite Baghadad regime, Assad in Syria, ISIS, Al-Nusra) is against the US and against Israel. The only party there fighting our enemies is the Kurds; but Obama is reluctant to give them real support because this would offend our supposed ally (actually, or enemy) Turkey. The net result is slack-handed US support for the Kurds, at the same time that we refuse to arm them on the ground. Ironically, the Kurds have to make do with out-dated Soviet equipment, to fight an ISIS armed with captured American tanks and munitions.

In Yugoslavia in the 1990s, our objectives were more clear: We were trying to force the Yugoslavs to dump their President and join NATO and the EU. We are doing something similar in the Ukraine; but in the latter place, we need to be careful about Russian retaliation; so we are moving more quietly there.

I'm sure your question was rhetorical; you already know the above.
