The Gnostics believed that the creator of this creation must be an evil and incompetent creator with wars, famines, disease, epidemics, earthquakes, floods, sickness and death. They believed that there is another real God...

And this is MS' answer

The Gnostics, then, are idolaters.

Well the word "idolaters" in the late antique world of Mesopotamia, Palestine and Syria would have been the Aramaic word ܣܓܘܕܐ or Saguda which in Arabic would be ساجد or Sajid or he who prostrates and here is the link

http://www.assyrianlanguages.org/sureth/dosearch.php

We also have the the Aramaic word and it is ܗܢܩܐ or Hanpa or pagan which was Arabized by Muhammad as حنيف or Haneef but Muhammad as usual did not even get the meaning correct

The word Hanpa really means non Jewish and non Christian

Muhammad also has a word called المشركين or al-Mushrikeen or those that associate other Gods besides Allah

So which word did you have in mind?

That ought to raise alarm flags,

What red flag? why is Greek logic so scary tell me

for anyone who contemplates following them.

Well I hate to tell you that Gnostics very much shaped the thinking of all monothesists in late antiquity and if you would have taken the time to read al-Tabari's foray you would have discovered that your reply is not unlike Muhammad's response go and read it I do not want to spoil it for you

They seem to me, to be a rather big-headed, self-important lot. I tend to leave such folks to themselves.

That was Muhammad's response and sorry to tell you you are not any different from him
