in response to reader comment: The Honor to Choose -- between Israel and the rest

"...One of them invited an Israeli MP to a session of Parliament once, who proceeded to observe a group of grown men and women shouting and throwing chairs at one another. ..."

Nice story - but with one slight problem:

& same with House of Commons. Can you see it?

"...But the Union Jack remains as testament to our heritage..."

You guys kept the English red 'Stripes' I guess but changed their orientation, if that's what you mean. We kept the whole thing, shrank it a little, moved it away from its prominent position and added our own stars. Bt in our case as you know , the 7-pointed Federation Star represents the 6 states and territories.

"..Have you noticed, that the countries with crosses on their flags are among the most stable and free countries of Europe."

Good point.

"..They were sparring partners of you Brits during the "Great Game" of Victorian times;..."

You Brits?? LOL. We're not Brits!

"...At the moment, they are strategic enemies of Turkey, Israel and Saudi Arabia because of the Iran connection; but in a few years they will be in absolute control of all the world except Israel..."

My government is in control of 100% of Australia right now. I don't think that's a bad thing. I'm glad that it is .

It's to easy to misiterpret how things will be in the future. I can say in general terms, I don't think it will be a pleasant picnic for a lot of humanity. It's a pity really - because we finally do have the technologies available that could give everyone a really decent life. The potential is there but the overall awareness isn't. Devoted muslims would be antagonistic to such a future - because the world would have to ditch islam's world domination desires for it to come about.
