weary in battle

Reader comment on item: Reflections on the Revolution in France*

Submitted by Lee Roberts (United States), Nov 10, 2005 at 13:20

Little of us have thought about this but the reason why the rioting has slowed down over the past few days is not in response to a curfew nor the skill of a special police force but rather fatigue and weariness. These night warriors are not trained soldiers but rather bad kids. They have no overseer or leader to drive them to further destruction but rather are getting slothful in battle. I suspect the fires will eventually all go out in the days to follow as these gangs need a good night sleep.

Of course now the worse is the aftermath, that is the damage the media will create with the hoodlem coverage.
Why does everyone want to try to give some hypotheses on what triggered this ordeal; They are only throwing fuel on the fire.

These kids don't want war they want to have fun.
