Mr. Mohamed, there are about 1.2 million Muslims (about 90% illiterate), but rememeber the rest of humanity do not acknowledge Mohamed as a messenger of God or a prophet. We as humans are given a brain and a conscience and we make our own judgments. Every one does not believe ...the quran.

Like the majority of Muslims, you blame the USA for everything happening in the world, but...open your eyes and look around; the killing that goes on every day by MUSLIMS all around the world - every day atrocities are being committed by Muslims.

I want you to read the text below sent by one Nazir to this column in reply similiar to yours. He appears to he a moderate muslim like you. Then you may understand why so many others in this world do not like your religion...We could use our brains and see right from wrong and make our own judgments.

(Writtnen by one Nazir in response to a post in Daniel Pipes' column).

Quran continuously says , Mohammed is your role model, do what he said and as he did. That is why methods of prayer, fasting Zakat, Haj, and whole sharia are based on Mohammed's words and deeds. The only authentic original sources sources of what he said and did are six sahih hadiths and original siras by Ishaq, Tabari, Waqqidi and Sad.

As a matter of fact, you cannot understand quran at all without the help of these sources because quran itself is without context and chronology. Quran indicates and all hadiths and authentic siras confirm that Mohammed's in his Madina life killed, asassinated, robbed, looted, pillaged and raped. He was an extremely violent man whose source of livelihood was raiding killing and looting. He captured innocent women and , distributed them among his fellow jihadis and told them that it is O.K to rape them (quran 4.3, 4.24, 23.6, 33.50 and 70.30). He had many wives and slaves himself, his son Ibrahim was born to a concubine Maria. There are no ifs and buts on these details.. All muslim scholars accept that he did all that. They however defend his actions by saying that it was Allah's orders to punish unbelievers. People like Bin Laden and Zarqawi quote those violent ayas and hadiths to justify their violence against non muslims.

Most moderate muslims like you are ignorant of the real sira, and it is in the best interest of religious heirarchy to keep it hidden . That is the reason that full set of hadiths and siras were never translated until late 20th century from arabic. Only Mohammed's Mecca life was publicized. Any criticism of Mohammed is blasphemy punishable by death so any one who knows about his violent life keeps his mouth shut in muslim countries. If he opens his mouth, the ignorant mob kills him without even determining if he is telling the truth. They are all brought up believing that Mohammed was the kindest man who ever lived and did not even hurt a fly.

Yes , most muslims are non violent but islam itself is an ideology of violence and hate, quran promotes it and Mohammed practised it. Best approach for us moderate muslims is to accept this truth and stop living in denial. Nobody believes us any more because the cat is out of the bag. Every one can read quran in chronology and context (of hadiths and sira) on the internet. By denying we look like the naked king who thinks he is wearing the best clothes.
