You people are real angry aren't you!!!Reader comment on item: Reflections on the Revolution in France* Submitted by Terrance Hall (United States), Jul 23, 2007 at 12:08 Alot of these comments show a blind ignorance that seems to forget the reasons for the riots, they were triggered by the accidental death of two teenagers, Zyed Benna and Bouna Traoré, in Clichy-sous-Bois, a working-class commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, who were chased by the police and tried to hide from the police in a power substation where they died of electric shocks. This was building up for many years: it was a reaction to the high youth unemployment, racial attitudes of many native French towards Muslims and the otherwise poor conditions in the ghettos of France. Sarkosy 's tough talk was just to garner votes "fear politics" like Bush.
