You said "In fact Islam does recognise other faiths and we are indeed instructed by Allah SWT to respect other faiths. Remember that it is only in the Holy Book of the Quran that we have ..."

M. M. M.: Nothing you say about "Islamic tolerance" means anything unless you are prepared to eliminate, from the holy texts of Islam: jihad, ghanimah, kufrage, dhimmitude, the jizya, the inequality of non-Muslims with Muslims, slavery and slave/child rape, the separation of the world into the dar al-harb and the dar al-Islam, and the definition of "peace" as perpetual war until the the entire world is brought into the dar al-Islam.

Unless you are willing to excise these concepts from the beliefs of every Muslim on earth, then nothing you say here about Islamic "tolerance" can ever mean anything significant to the rest of us. Don't you realize? (And if not, then why not?)

And if you consider a rejection of your supremacist intolerance to be "attacks on my religion", well then it's you who have already declared war on us, isn't it. Because the concepts of your religion declare war against Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism, Shintoism, idolatry, secular humanism, and Western civilization - *by definition*.

"Might I add that here in Kenya, you should see how Muslims are living in peace with everyone else. In fact some of my best friends are Christians. My wife used to be a catholic before becoming a Muslim. I work for a British firm here in Kenya without any reservations."

Yes, Christians *are* a tolerant people. That's why we don't always have to *say* we're tolerant people ...
