Hi Dear Mr. Tovey,

I really find it difficult to understand what do you mean by the word "secular" ? Does a secular regime mean being unashamedly pro-US , pro-Israel and extremely oppressive towards one's own population like that Pahlavi regime in pre-1979 Iran was ? Now answer this following question of mine since you consider your worldview firmly entrenched on "Hebrew Holy Bible" .

How the BIble treats a ruler who is oppressive towards his own people but is in good terms with Israel like say the former Shah of Iran ? I think this question is important to ask since many of you evangelicals claim that "whoever serves Israel God gives them salvation and whoever does otherwise goes to hell." So tell me kindly that whether an oppressive tyrant like that Shah of Iran is in your view liable to go to heaven or hell since he might have killed so many of his own people but was extremely pro-Israel.

And kindly provide your answer in a crisp and unbiased way understandable for all of us from a theological viewpoint.

Take Care
